Fresh Start?
January is here and everyone is talking about January being about having a fresh start. I can't seem to get up and go, and embarrassingly enough I still have half of my holiday decorations up. Last weekend was a wash between jet lag and the lack of light in England, it was impossible to get out of bed.
So in an attempt to get my energy back, I am sitting on the sofa attempting to start up my blog again after a mostly dormant 2013. I am looking to make this more of a personal journey in the design world and take some time to jot down some of my favorite things about London.
Lastly, I should explain that if I had a real live Christmas tree there would have been motivation to get rid of it weeks ago, however this paper white LED tree still feels fitting especially given the polar vortex hitting the US and headed over to England.

Better Homes and Gardens
This weekend is your last chance to pick up the summer issue of Better Homes and Gardens Kitchen and Bath.
I was lucky to get the chance to work with the editors on a bathroom renovation project for their Summer issue. I designed a bathroom and then sourced a low-end version and a high-end version. Check it out below, download it to your ipad, or pick up the magazine at your local store this weekend before they bring out their fall issue.

This year, I think the cats will be giving input on which paint colors to choose! Cream is looking for the perfect shade to match his eyes.

2. Linen napkins from C Wonder
3. Graphic rug in cream and lime from CB2
4. A bar cart for all of your margarita essentials from CB2

Made in America for the home
In today's world it is very hard to find products for the home that are made in America. Here are some quality products that look great in the home and support the home country.
Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer: A staple on every girl's wedding registry list, this is a must have accessory in the American kitchen. Be sure to pick one of their fun colors!
Sub-Zero and Wolf: Top of the line refrigerators, ovens, and cooktops for the gourmet kitchen.
Pyrex: While many cooks are moving towards European cookware, Pyrex is the original American made glassware that is durable enough for oven to table to storage.
Post-It Notes: No longer relegated to the classic canary yellow colored 3x3 notes, branch out to style your office with a practical paper product.
Weber Grill: A must-have for backyard grilling especially today!
