Diptyques

Having a wonderful fragrance throughout your home is an inexpensive way to add a touch of luxury any home. My lovely friend Nen just gave me a Diptyque candle for my birthday and I am now in love. There is a scent for everyone with their vast collection of fragrances.  Diptyque is based around St. Germain Paris, my favorite part of the city, and has been around for almost 50 years. Despite the age of the company, the graphic design of their label looks as fresh as if it were born yesterday. 

Modern English Regency

I love some of the current trends in the market right now and how they are a modern take on English Regency style. Striped wallpaper never seems to go completely out of style but the stripes are definitely wider and bolder this year. The round porthole mirrors from Graham and Green are the perfect filler for a side wall. The nautical style combined with English Regency continues with these shell chandeliers that are being seen in every beach house from the Hamptons to Malibu.

Plant Replacement?

I have a notorious black thumb when it comes to house plants, although I have seen how plants in a home really transform the space. So when I found this print at 20x200 it makes me think this might be a good replacement for that nook that needs just the right amount of greenery!

Orla Kiely is England's very own Kate Spade creating an entire lifestyle brand by starting out with some very pretty handbags that caught on with the right crowd. Her iconic patterns are now appearing on coffee mugs, bed linens, and even iphone cases, so it was inevitable that she come out with a book all about the patterns that have made her famous! Happy Inside

The new IKEA catalogue and ad campaign has come out in the UK. The use of cats to create the feeling of home is a huge hit! Check out how they released 100 cats through an IKEA store in London and even lost a few in the process. Most people can relate to getting lost in the IKEA maze.

Chelsea Harbour

I took a trip out to the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre this week and was in awe! The space is gorgeous on its own, but each dome is populated with showrooms featuring all of the newest offerings in the design world. The space didn't show any of the signs of the bad economy that the Pacific Design Center in LA are showing. With every space occupied, it could take a whole week to sort through every showroom.

The Travelling Moose

Taxidermy is on the brink of being out of fashion, but this white moose head is a fun edition above this bar table. It made the move from California to London, so it needed a special place in the flat.
