The hipstamatic app for the iphone has really gotten me back into taking photos after a hiatus. I still think that using such digital tricks is a sell out technique, but there is no need to take these photos too seriously.

F & B Color Palette

I love the industrial color palette coming out of Farrow & Ball for the Fall. Yellow and Grays will make any space feel modern and clean.

Favorite Ad

I have loved the Benjamin Moore color ads for a long time, but this one for Golden Nugget is by far my favorite so far!

Food for the Summer Table

I am not typically a BBQ sauce fan but Giada de Laurentiis' Balsamic BBQ sauce will be an all around at your summer BBQ. Easy to make and easy to keep on hand. Here is the recipe

For the Balsamic BBQ sauce:

• 1 cup balsamic vinegar
• 3/4 cup ketchup
• 1/3 cup brown sugar
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Mix all of the ingredients in a saucepan on the stovetop and simmer for 15 minutes until mixture is incorporated and smooth. Glaze on your favorite meat and throw on the grill.

Fun Kitchen Electrics

Kitchen products are on my mind this week, so here is another of my favorites for form and function. The Bodum Bistro toaster. The rubber outside gives a futuristic look and feel to the toaster and comes in an array of colors from hot pink to lime green to basic black.

New Uses for Old Things

I love this impromptu bulletin board made out of chicken wire. Also what an inexpensive way to spruce up your old tear sheets. Chicken wire is minimalist and industrial but comes across very chic with the right accessories tacked up to it. 

Small Space Form and Function

I cannot get enough of the kitchen products from Joseph Joseph! They have given new life to kitchen products that haven't been updated for 50 years. Their products are colorful, fun, and most importantly functional for all kitchens. Especially for those with little to no storage space, Joseph Joseph has found a way to minimize space and maximize function with all of their items. I love the mixing bowl set that nests and the chopping board and knife combo. Their utensils have a special form that elevates and helps alleviate kitchen messes. Their prices are also hard to beat for the product quality.

A new work space

There is a perfect brick nook in the London flat to set up a workspace. I am loving the new desks from IKEA that allow you to mix and match your table top and legs. I selected a stainless steel top with black saw horse style legs.
