Color Story Monday: Margarita

I spent a cold and rainy weekend in London dreaming of margaritas and warm beaches, and although margaritas come in all colors there is one classic greenish-yellow color that makes up a traditional margarita. Add some summer fun with margarita as a color in your home.

1. Margarita by Benjamin Moore
2. Linen napkins from C Wonder
3. Graphic rug in cream and lime from CB2
4. A bar cart for all of your margarita essentials from CB2
5. A two tone bar stool in green and white from ABC Home

Magazine Storage

I am an avid magazine reader and thankfully my ipad now keeps me from being the magazine hoarder that I was in college. I still pick up magazines in print though and like to keep them around for various amounts of time. To help control the overpopulation of glossy magazines, I keep a storage bin and when it starts to get full I know that it is time to weed out the old for the new.
Here are some great storage baskets that you won't be embarrassed to keep around.

1. Jute storage basket from H&M Home
2. Rugby Stripe Bin from The Container Store
3. Large Milk Crate from Target
4. Canvas and Wood Crate from Pottery Barn

Color Story Monday: Charcoal

If you didn't get enough of the BBQ on 4th of July, add some charcoal touches to your home. They may not have the smell of a beach pit bbq, but charcoal will add drama and style to any space.

1. From Ralph Lauren's Urban Loft Collection, Bleecker and Smoked Glass
2. Gourd Table Lamp, West Elm
3. Sleek and cool, Foundry coffee table from CB2
4. Betwixt fabric in Charcoal, Celerie Kemble for F. Schumacher
5. Diane Von Furstenberg Pebblestone dinner collection in Smoke Grey, Bloomingdales
6. Elegance and Charcoal combined. Angelica Sofa from Jayson Home.

Found Door Friday: Pretty in Pink

This is quite the delicate and feminine door for a dentist's office, but that's London for you.

Happy 4th of July

Made in America for the home

In today's world it is very hard to find products for the home that are made in America. Here are some quality products that look great in the home and support the home country.

Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer: A staple on every girl's wedding registry list, this is a must have accessory in the American kitchen. Be sure to pick one of their fun colors!
Sub-Zero and Wolf: Top of the line refrigerators, ovens, and cooktops for the gourmet kitchen.
Pyrex: While many cooks are moving towards European cookware, Pyrex is the original American made glassware that is durable enough for oven to table to storage.
Post-It Notes: No longer relegated to the classic canary yellow colored 3x3 notes, branch out to style your office with a practical paper product.
Weber Grill: A must-have for backyard grilling especially today!
